Navigate Parkinson’s Without Losing Yourself!
I’m Donna Parkhurst – Integrative Wellness Coach, Parkinson’s Advocate, and Founder of Moved by Parkinson’s.
Diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson’s at 51, I know firsthand how isolating and overwhelming this journey can feel. Before Parkinson’s became part of my story, I spent years walking alongside my mother on her Parkinson’s journey. This is the space I wish I’d had; honest conversation, practical wellness strategies, and a community that gets it.

Wellness, Resilience, and Hope for Life’s Unexpected Challenges!
If you’re new here, I share education, encouragement, and wellness strategies for people navigating Parkinson’s disease, including those diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson’s like I was at age 51.
While my perspective is shaped by my experience with Parkinson’s and midlife women’s health, this community welcomes anyone seeking education, support, strength, and encouragement – including people living with Parkinson’s, care partners, and those navigating life’s unexpected challenges.

You Don’t Have to Navigate This Alone
Whether you’re newly diagnosed, years into this journey, walking alongside someone you love, or simply looking for support and encouragement, this space was built for you. Here you’ll find honest conversation, evidence-informed wellness strategies, and a community that truly gets it.
What we talk about here:
- Clean beauty and low-toxic living
- Parkinson’s education & awareness
- Real talk about symptoms, treatments, and the hard days
- Navigating invisible symptoms like fatigue, anxiety, and brain fog
- Practical wellness strategies for brain and nervous system health
- Emotional resilience, faith, and finding hope
- Midlife health and healthy aging
Why I Often Speak to Women’s Experiences
As I began learning more about Parkinson’s, I discovered that women are often underrepresented in research, misdiagnosed, or diagnosed later than men. Hormonal changes during midlife can complicate symptoms and make diagnosis more challenging, and that’s not talked about nearly enough.
But something beautiful has happened along the way. As I’ve shared my experience, I’ve heard from men and caregivers who say they also feel seen and encouraged by these conversations. This community has naturally grown into a space that supports people living with Parkinson’s, care partners, or anyone seeking connection, understanding, and hope.
